Professor Herron has been teaching in universities since for fifteen years and has developed several online courses for university students. She will be teaching multicultural children's literature at Hollins University during the summer of 2000 and much of that course will be available here online by mid-March. .

Since 1997 she has also been developing educational programs for elementary school children in Washington, DC, Boston, Massachusetts, and Chico, California. In addition, in partnership with the organization Learning and Leadership with Families, Herron is developing educational programs for pre-school children and young parents in Washington, DC.

She is currently (3/17/00) refining the nature of these programs and by the Ides of April (:>) she hopes to add pages here for each of the following programs:
